KARACHI: Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastagir Khan on Thursday emphasised on enhancement of interaction between Pakistan and Belarus in matters of exchange of trade delegations and investment-related information. The commerce minister, in a meeting with counterparts from Belarus, recommended increased bilateral trade of general items which would help both countries to come up with preferential tariffs. “There should be due consultation among both governments and both countries’ private sectors,” he said. “We should actively pursue commencement of banking facilities between both nations and also set up a task force for accelerating the process of promoting the economic cooperation.” Dastagir added teams from both countries would deliberate upon trade and investment-related issues and would come up with possible models.
