This was said by Faisalabad Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani the other day. He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony which was held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Samanabad. On the occasion, the deputy commissioner distributed bags & books among the students.
He said the Punjab government had focused on imparting the new generation with education and no child would remain away from school under the campaign.
He announced cash prizes for the top ten teachers who would play best role in admitting maximum number of children in the schools. He asked the education department officials to associate the local government representatives, NGOs and civil society in the enrolment campaign to achieve the targets of literacy campaign.
Meanwhile, officials informed the DC that the enrolment campaign would continue till October 31. He maintained it was the joint responsibility of the society to promote literacy and every person of the society should take part in this campaign. He informed that school councils would be revamped to make the enrolment campaign a success.
