Victim was missing for the last one month

QUETTA: The bullet-riddled body of kidnapped Chairman of the Union Council of Panjgur district Nazar Ali was found on Monday.

Levies officials said that Nazar Ali who belonged to the National Party was missing for the last one month when unknown armed men intercepted him on the road and forcefully took him at gunpoint. The locals of Gichak area informed the local authorities on a dumped bullet-riddled body.

Levies personnel rushed to the site and shifted the corpse to the district hospital. The body was identified at the hospital as Nazar Ali who had suddenly disappeared a month ago from his village.

“Seven bullets were hit in his chest and head, which caused his instant death,” a senior levies officer said quoting hospital sources.

The body of Nazar Ali was handed over to the heirs after medico-legal formalities.

The spokesman for the National Party has strongly condemned the killing of the elected Chairman and termed it as brutal.
