BAHAWALPUR: At least two health officials were sacked while several others were suspended over negligence in Bahawalpur on Sunday. Health Director Dr Shahid Khaleeq and his team paid surprise visits to health facilities in several union councils and found medical staff absent from duty.
They also found the staff was involved in negligence while performing duty. While taking action, the health director sacked WHO representative Dr Basit and Health Nutrition Incharge Hafiz Saeed.
Besides, he also suspended Technician Iqbal, Vaccinator Ramzan, Vaccinator Haji Arshad, Basic Health center Supervisor Ali Riaz and Sanitary Inspector Hameeduddin.
