ISLAMABAD:
A hearing and speech impaired child underwent successful implant surgery at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Hospital on Thursday. Surgery on six-year-old Nida Khan was carried out on the directions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who had met her during visit to a school a few months ago. E&T Department head Dr Ghulam Saqlain performed the procedure assisted by Dr Jawad Ahmed and other doctors of the department. Islamabad Mayor and CDA Chairman Anser Aziz visited the hospital and inquired about the well-being of the child.
