RAWALPINDI: The family of two brothers, who were killed in an alleged police encounter on Wednesday night, blocked the busy Dhamial Road in Rawalpindi on Thursday to protest against “injustice and killings in a fake encounter”.

The family of 35-year-old-Wasim and 38-year-old Irfan, continued their protest till the filing of this report, with Dhamial Road blocked for traffic.

Meanwhile, Saddar Berooni Police booked the two brothers - both government servants - and four of their other brothers, who are already in police custody, on charges of terrorism, attempted murder, police encounter, and unlawful assembly.

Wasim and Irfan’s family had claimed that police raided their house in Quaid-i-Azam Colony and shot the two brothers.
