Taking Advantage Of CPEC: Varsities must produce professionals

ABBOTTABAD: Prof Dr Iftikhar Ahmed VC Abbottabad University of Science & Technology (AUST) has said that higher education institutions must focus on producing professionals who could rule the world in different fields, rather than just get job in hotels being constructed along the route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said this while speaking to participants of a seminar arranged by AUST on Wednesday. The Prof Dr Ahmed said that infrastructural development was not a guarantee to achieve economic wellbeing. Rather, it demands a proactive role from universities to produce leaders.
