Violating rules: Six illegal shops demolished in Pindi

ISLAMABAD: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Saturday took action against six illegal shops and other construction in different parts of the garrison city.

RDA Director General (DG) Azmat Mahmud had instructed the authority’s Building Control Wing to take action against illegal and unauthorised commercial and residential construction in the city in addition to other encroachments.

In this regard the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate, Building Control’s staff with the assistance of Rawalpindi Police from the concerned police station carried out operations demolishing an illegal ramp in Hill View Lane in Kalri along Adiala Road. The RDA also demolished six illegal shops owned by Abdul Khaliq in Morgah.
