Punjab Police abolishes shoulder promotions

As many as 47 assistant superintendents of police (ASPs) and deputy superintendents of police (DSPs) returned to police headquarters from various districts on Tuesday.


The transfers were made by IGP Javed Iqbal on the Supreme Court (SC) orders on March 8.

Those transferred have been working as superintendents of police (SP) under shoulder promotion police.

Those transferred are: ASPs Sadiq Ali, Lt Cdr Muhammad Hilal, Mian Saeed Ahmad; DSPs Muhammad Pervez Iqbal, Raja Basharat Mahmood, Masroor Ahmad Rana, Karamatullah Malik, Muhammad Tahir Maqsood, Qayyum Nawaz Qaisrani, Sultan Mahmood, Naeemul Hassan, Ejaz Shafi, Rana Javed Iqbal, Owais Malik, Irfanullah, Javed Akhtar, Amir Taimur, Hanif Ahmad, Fahmida Yasmeen, Jamaat Ali Bokhari, Muhammad Iqbal Zafar, Tariq Mqhmood, Ishtiaq Hussain Shah, Haseeb Hussain, Muhammad Javed, Muhammad Ilyas, Muhammad Asif Ansari, Rai Zamirul Haq, Imtiaz Sarwar, Akhtar Ali Khan, Saifullah Khan, Adbul Ghaffar, Multan Khan, Mehr Rab Nawaz, Javed Iqbal Nadir, Shah Nawaz, Muhammad Iqbal, Ghulam Shabbir, Rana Muhamamd Azeem, Mumtaz Ahmad, Muhammad Iftikhar, Rashid Ahmad, Khalid Pervez, Altaf Ahmad Gondal, Faisal Gulzar, Zulfiqar Ali and Majeed Muhammad Rana.

Moreover, Fayyaz Ahmed Dev, the Punjab Special Branch SP, has been transferred and posted as Personal Staff Officer to the IGP against an existing vacancy while SP Muhammad Zariat Kiani, awaiting posting, has been transferred and posted as Punjab Special Branch SP with an immediate effect.
