Extra-curricular: Inter-collegiate competitions commence

Students of the college would be competing Qirat, Naat, debate, essay writing, fine arts, singing and other activities

ISLAMABAD: An inter-collegiate competition between students of the capitals’ colleges commenced at the Islamabad College for Girls (ICG) F/6-2 on Tuesday.

Students of the college would be competing Qirat, Naat, debate, essay writing, fine arts, singing, tableau and other activities.

Director Model Colleges (FDE) Dr Muhammad Tariq Masood chaired the English debate competition and a powerpoint presentation on Tuesday.

The topic of the debate competition was “Cyberspace is opium for the youth” and the participants from various colleges expressed their views and ideas for and against the topic.

For the debate competition in English, first prize was bagged by Muqaddasa Gul from the Federal Government post graduate college Kashmir Road, Rawaplindi. In the power point presentation competition, the first prize was secured by Fatima Naqvi of the Islamabad College for Girls F-6/2.
