Room at AMC girls’ hostel catches fire

ABBOTTABAD: A room at the girls’ hostel of Ayub Medical College caught fire, destroying everything inside, Rescue 1122 sources said on Monday.

The fire also spread to a neighboring room, which was partially burnt. Rescue 1122 fire tenders managed to douse the flames. The cause of fire, according to rescue workers, was a short circuit.

There was no loss of life or injuries as no one was in the room at the time of fire, sources said.

According to Rescue 1122, the fire started during the day, when the students were away.
