Promoting value-addition: PARC organises workshop

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (Parc) organised a one-day workshop with the objective to develop marketing linkages of village organizations with the entrepreneurs.  Thirty five owners of super stores and retailers of the Sukkur and Khairpur regions attended the workshop and witnessed the entire process of manufacturing and packaging of value added products, a statement received here on Monday said. The workshop was organised by Arid Zone Research Institute (AZRI) Technology Field Station with the collaboration of Food Science and Product Development Institute (FSPDI) and Social Sciences Research Institute (SSRI) of National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) under SAARC development fund project titled “Post-Harvest Management and Value Addition of Fruits in Production Catchments in SAARC Countries [Pakistan Component]” of Agricultural Engineering Division (AED) of Parc.
