100th birthday: Car rally for Bohra leader today

Around 300 members of Bohra community will take part in rally at Saddar, Rawalpindi.

RAWALPINDI: A car rally is being organised to celebrate the 100th birthday of Dr Syedna Muhammad Burhanuddin, the religious leader of the Dawoodi Bohra Community. The rally is being organised Burhani Ambulance Corps Rawalpindi.

According to a press release, around 300 members of the community will take part in the rally, which starts at Saifee Mosque at Hathi Chowk in Saddar, Rawalpindi at 9am on Sunday (today) and will complete a round of the federal capital before returning to its destination.

A meeting to work out finer details was held on Saturday, with Burhani Ambulance Corps Division Captain Ali Abbas in the chair and Mufaddal Moiz, Hasan Youshe, Huzaifa Siraj and Hussain Moin participating.

The religious leader’s birthday is being celebrated all over the world and various activities have been planned.
