LAHORE: Turkish investors have expressed keen interest in investing in schemes related to water provision, wastewater management and housing across Punjab.

In a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Turkish delegates praised the Punjab government for making unprecedented progress under the chief minister’s leadership.

They said Shehbaz worked efficiently for the welfare of his people and as a result of his untiring efforts, Lahore was a beautiful and prosperous city just like Istanbul.

He said that Pakistan and Turkey’s fraternal relations were being molded into sustained economic cooperation under the PML-N government.

Lauding the Erdogan-led government, Shehbaz said that Turkey made substantial progress under the leadership of the Turkish president. “Pakistan is providing appropriate environment for investment and many Turkish companies are already investing in Pakistan specifically Punjab which is a positive step,” he added.
