One Piece, three ways: Shamsha Hashwani

While trends fade, style remains eternal and one piece can be put together in many different ways. In this feature we have three fashionistas showing us how to put together an item from a designers collection, according to their own individual style and taste!



This super-versatile choli by Shamsha Hashwani is from the designers ‘A Mughal Mirage’ collection, which was showcased at PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2016. The neutral-toned choli is intricately embroidered using thread work in beautiful floral motifs. The vibrant pink and orange embroidery contrasts against the primary, beige-coloured fabric. Furthermore, the classic sherwani collar makes the piece versatile enough to wear with both, eastern and western ensembles.

I paired the beautiful Shamsha Hashwani choli with a pair of white ripped jeans from Zara and neutral-coloured, peep-toe heels from Versace. I then grabbed a blue Chanel clutch to contrast and give my ensemble a pop of colour. This outfit is ideal for a day party, a sundowner or even a brunch. I love how the choli is versatile and can easily be transformed into a western outfit. Depending on the event, it can also be styled both casually or formally.

I loved this multi-coloured, floral, choli by Shamsha Hashwani! For my look however, I decided to go for a western outfit, so I wore it as a crop-top with a suede jacket that has fringe details, and basic skinny jeans. I would wear this outfit during the day, which is why I chose a neutral-toned bag and black, casual mules.
