Among them, 226 students received degrees of Bachelor’s in medical sciences, dentistry, nursing and physical therapy whereas, 25 received postgraduate degrees in different programmes of medical and allied medical sciences. Six PhD degrees in medical sciences were also awarded to the scholars.
Isra University chancellor Prof Dr Asadullah Kazi asked the students to prepare to meet the challenges of globalisation. “We must learn to swim or else we will drown,” he warned them.
He advised the students to uphold the image of Pakistan and to project a peaceful image of the country. Outstanding students were awarded five gold and 13 silver medals.
