34 SUSPECTS: Eight arrested for land grabbing

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested eight land grabbers, while 34 other suspects were rounded up during search operations in various areas of the city, said a police spokesperson.

The Bhara Kahu police arrested eight persons for their alleged involvement in land grabbing. The police recovered one 12-bore repeater, one pistol, and ammunition from them.

Meanwhile, the Khanna Police arrested two bike lifters, identified as Asif and Haider, and recovered a stolen bike from them. The Ramna police arrested a suspected drug peddler, Hanif, with 510 grammes hashish.

The Nilore police arrested Hamid Ali and recovered 120 grammes of hashish from him. The Sihala police arrested Rehman, Adil Rehman and Ali Raza for their alleged involvement in a theft case.

The police also conducted checking throughout the city and impounded 185 bikes and 14 vehicles in total.
