HARIPUR: A man committed suicide for unknown reasons in a remote village in Beer Union Council, police said on Friday. Beer police quoted Muhammad Anwar, a resident of Chijaka village, as saying that his son Asmat, 23, had been upset for over the last couple of weeks. However, despite his (Anwar) best efforts and repeated attempts to get through, Asmat not disclose the reasons he was depressed. On Thursday evening, Asmat went to his room and after a few minutes, he shot himself in the head with a 30-bore pistol. He was rushed to Beer Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
