According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the AJK premier called on the army chief at the military’s General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
“The COAS assured the PM that Pakistan Army is fully prepared and capable to respond to all types of threat from across [the border],” the statement said.

The restive Himalayan region suffered a rise in violence last year after the killing in July of a popular young rebel leader in a gun battle with Indian soldiers.
According to the military's media wing, besides security situation along the LoC, matters of mutual interests also came under discussion during the meeting.
“The prime minister thanked COAS for Pakistan Army’s contributions towards security and development in AJK, particularly in the fields of education, health and communications infrastructure,” the ISPR added.
Kashmir is divided between India and Pakistan, but both claim it in full.
