Two groups of Mahar tribe were quarreling when armed men opened fire on them

SUKKUR: Two people were gunned down by armed men over a karo-kari dispute in the katcha area within the limits of Raza Goth police station near Pano Aqil, Sukkur district. Early Monday morning, two groups of Mahar tribe were quarreling when armed men opened fire on them. As a result, two persons, identified as Qutubuddin Mahar and Nizamuddin Mahar, were killed on the spot, while the assailants managed to flee the scene. The bodies were shifted to Pano Aqil hospital for postmortem and were later handed over to the   relatives. Area people claimed that, the double murder was the result of karo-kari dispute between two groups of Mahar tribe. Neither any arrest was made and nor a case was registered till filing of this report.
