Man, sister-in-law arrested for murdering brothers

Accused confess to stabbing victims to death

At least two suspects involved in a triple murder case were arrested by police in Faisalabad on Wednesday.

Chak Jhumra SHO said a few days back bodies of three brothers identified as Salahuddin, Karmat and Farooq were found from a private farm in Sitoi Wala area. He said the victims were stabbed to death.  He added soon after the incident, the police started investigation to nab the culprits behind the murder. During the course of investigation, he said the police detained one of the brothers of the deceased Muhammad Babar and interrogated him.

Babar told the police that he fell in love with his sister-in-law Sajda and they both wanted to get married. However, he said his elder brother did not knew about their affair.

The accused said in a bid to clear the hurdles, they decided to kill his three brothers and then get married. Therefore, they stabbed them to death after intoxicating them.


Meanwhile, the SHO said accused Babar admitted that he and Sajda committed the crime under a planned strategy as both of them were determined to marry each other.

The police also arrested Sajda who also admitted to committing the heinous crime. He said the police has obtained physical remand of the suspects while they also recovered the weapon used in the incident.

Earlier in 2016, a man was arrested for murdering his wife and her parents in Chakwal. The police also recovered a 30-bore pistol used in the crime. Accused Aun Abbas was arrested by Choa Saidan Shah Police on charges of murdering his wife Kulsoom Zahra and her parents, Syed Ameer Hussain Shah and Mazloom Zahra. Ameer and Mazloom were shot dead inside their house while their daughter died at Rawalpindi DHQ Hospital.
