Commiserations: Rafsanjani’s demise condoled

Rafsanjani was an embodiment of pragmatism, resilience and political acumen

ISLAMABAD: Condolences continue to pour in on Tuesday on the death of former Iranian President Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi said that Rafsanjani’s death was a loss not only to the Islamic Republic, but also of the government and people of Pakistan. Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq also visited the Iranian Embassy and offered condolences. The speaker also recorded his comments in the condolence book placed in Iranian Embassy, a press release issued said. Sadiq further added that Rafsanjani was an embodiment of pragmatism, resilience and political acumen.
