Diane Clayton attacked Simon Hill with a kitchen knife while the couple was at a friend’s house, a court heard. “Hill ate them all and that caused her to get angry,” prosecutor Parveen Akhtar said. “She was seen slapping him across the face before leaving the room. She picked up a knife in the kitchen and then stabbed him causing a superficial injury,” Akhtar said.

Following the wrangle, the couple left the house. Hill returned to the house soon after, but feared for his safety. The subsequent morning Clayton returned to the house and attacked him for the second time.
“She returned the following morning and Hill suffered injuries to his hands,”Akhtar told Blackburn Magistrates’ Court. Clayton pleaded guilty to assault and causing actual bodily harm. She was ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge on release after completing 26 weeks in custody.
However, the victim refused to cooperate with the prosecutor later on. “He later told police he didn’t want to co-operate because she has mental health problems.” Akhtar said.
