Homebrewed hooch: Three arrested for making moonshine

ISLAMABAD: The Ramna police have arrested three men  besides recovering 210 litres of homebrewed liquor, 15 bottles of liquor, seven cans of beer, one unlicensed pistol, and an unspecified amount of ammunition, a police spokesman said.

On a tip off, Saddar SP Capt (retd) Zeeshan Haider constituted a team headed by Ramna SHO Irshad Hussain Abro including Sub Inspector Ghulam Shabbir, Head Constable Muhammad Rehan, Constable Muhammad Azmat, and others. The team caught the three preparing liquor in the area. The suspects were later identified as Tanveer Rashid, Ilyas Masih, and Shamsher, all residents of Mera Badia Rustam, Islamabad. Police recovered 210 litres of liquor in drums, 15 bottles of liquor, seven cans of beer an unspecified number of empty bottles and stickers, one unlicensed pistol, and an unspecified amount of ammunition.
