NICL scam: Moonis charged in two separate cases

Names of wife, mother and two sisters of Mohsin Habib Warraich will also be added to the charge-sheet.

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has decided to charge Chaudhry Moonis Elahi in two related cases in the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scam while names of the wife, mother and two sisters of the other accused, Mohsin Habib Warraich, will also be added to the charged-sheet.

The FIA Punjab chapter has registered four separate cases against the accused involved in NICL scam. While Elahi was not initially included in the first two cases registered against former NICL chairman Ayyaz Khan Niazi, NICL directors, managers and other officials, his name will be added to them now.

Warraich’s wife, mother and sisters will also be included in the charge-sheet as beneficiaries of the scam, said a member of the investigation team.

The FIA investigators have also prepared a questionnaire for Elahi which will be given to him after his arrest, said the investigators, adding that a second questionnaire would be given to him after he responds to the first set.
