Man suspected of shooting brother

ISLAMABAD: Thirty three-yearold Jamshed Iqbal was found dead in his house in Sector G-11/2, early on Wednesday morning.

Police reached the scene and found Jamshed Iqbal lying dead in a pool of blood with five bullet wounds. Police officers suspect that his younger brother Arshad Iqbal is the murderer. Their brotherin- law, Javed Iqbal called the police to the crime scene. “I got a call from Arshad saying that his elder brother had been shot dead,” Javed told the police. Police say that the 22-year-old Arshad Iqbal had fled the scene and is currently in hiding. According to a police official, Jamshed had arrived from Karachi on Tuesday.

The house where he was killed was occupied by his younger brother and his mother while their father was working in Saudi Arabia. Jamshed used to work in Karachi and had come to visit his family. At the time of the incident, his mother had gone to their native town, Kohat. Police have registered a case and started investigating. The body was handed over to his mother after the autopsy.
