"My dad knew about [the relationship] from the start," said the 50-year-old, in an interview with Daily Mail. "He first met Prince Harry about six months ago, out in Toronto. He goes there once every couple of months. Meghan and my dad are very close and they stay in close contact. He's pretty happy about Harry and extremely proud of Meghan. They have an amazing relationship, they're very close and they always have been." added Markle Jr.

It was reported earlier that Meghan, too, has met the Royal family, including Prince William and his wife Kate, as well as Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.

Markle Jr. said his sister is "very much in love" with Prince Harry. "They're extremely happy together. They look great together and she's done good," he said. "She's very much in love and obviously happy because if she wasn't, she wouldn't be there. The relationship is taking off, which is good and I wish them all the best. I couldn't be happier for her."

He added, "I think it is wonderful! As long as Harry takes care of and loves Meg, he doesn't have to do anything else. Although I would like to shake his hand and meet him."

The couple made their relationship public when they were seen strolling on the streets of London few days back.
