He made the comments while speaking to tribal elders at the FC headquarters in Sibi. “Those receiving benefits from [Pakistan’s] enemies are playing with the families of the ones who have taken refuge in the mountains,” Maj Gen Nadeem said.
He told the elders that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will prove to be a game changer for both Balochistan and the entire region. “The enemies for Pakistan want to disrupt the process of development in the country. This is why they have adopted such tactics. But they have failed completely as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Russia and western countries have expressed their desire to be a part of this project,” the IGFC added.
Maj Gen Nadeem said a development process cannot be maintained without education and peace. Giving credit for restoring peace in Balochistan to the residents and elders of the province, he said the army and people of Pakistan were on a same page. “Even if India takes a thousand lives, it cannot win in its war against peace and development in Pakistan.”
The IGFC apprised the elders that his paramilitary force was providing quality education to the people of Balochistan. He said that some 60 schools and colleges were operating under the supervision of the FC.
