Acer unveils world's slimmest laptop
However, Dell has now taken the game up a notch as the tech giant revealed its newest addition to the XPS line up now featuring a touch screen display and a 360 degree hinge making it one of the best 2-in-1 laptops available.
Dell’s XPS 13 is powered by a 3.2GHz Intel Core i5-7Y54 processor or a 3.6GHz Intel Core i7-7Y75 processor and both featuring Intel HD Graphics 615. RAM options span 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB dual-channel LPDDR3, while storage options go from a basic 128GB SATA all the way up to 1TB PCIe SSD with Intel RST.

The laptop is powered by a 46WHr pack which gives it a good 15 hours of usage at full HD resolution. Dell also offers two different touch display options - a standard 1930 x 1080 full HD display or an UltraSharp 3200 x 1800 Quad HD+ panel.
What make the XPS line so attractive is Dell's InfinityEdge tech display which makes the screen virtually bezel less giving it an elegant edge-to-edge look. This coupled with the 360 degree hinge means users can now take the laptop and fold it back into a variety of different configurations, from tent to kiosk to tablet.
Dell claimed its latest XPS 13 model is the "smallest 13-inch 2-in-1 device on the planet", which comes in 40 per cent thinner and 20 per cent lighter than Microsoft's Surface Book.
The XPS 13 2-in-1 is now available at a starting price on $999.
