Capacity building: TEVTA trains 38 teachers in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR: The Punjab government has devised a comprehensive plan to impart training to teachers which would pave a way to modernise technical education system in the province.

This was said by Minister of State for Higher Education and Interiors Engineer Baleegh-ur-Rehman.

He was speaking at a certificate awarding ceremony held at the concluding session of a two-week training programme for 38 teachers on Saturday. The training session was organised by the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) at the Government Staff Training College Bahawalpur.

The minister said the government has established Government Staff Training College in Faisalabad, Lahore and Murree and Bahawalpur to provide technical education and training to teachers.

He appreciated the initiative of the District Government Bahawalpur to provide VIP cards to the teachers in Bahawalpur district. Later, he distributed certificates among the teachers who attended the training programme.
