New assignment: President congratulates Lt Gen Akhtar

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday congratulated Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar on his appointment as National Defence University president during his meeting with the latter at the Aiwan-e -Sadar.



Mamnoon voiced confidence that the quality and standard of different NDU programmes would further improve and cater to the requirements along with changing the defence and security environment in the region. Lt Gen Rizwan briefed President Mamnoon about matters relating to the university.
