LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Gawalmandi SHO on a petition filed by a biker who claimed he was thrashed by traffic wardens.

The petitioner claimed he was beaten and verbally abused by the officials despite producing bike documents they had demanded.

Farasatullah told the court he was on the way to office when traffic warden Imran, along with some others, intercepted him and asked for the bike’s documents.

Even after seeing the paperwork, the wardens allegedly refused to let him go. The petitioner said when he insisted on leaving, the cops got started using abusive language and proceeded to physically assault him.

He added the SHO refused to hear his complaint when approached.

He requested the court to order the office to register an FIR against the traffic wardens.
