Scary situation: Woman dies in lift accident

Elevator developed a fault and plummeted down to the ground floor killing the passenger

SUKKUR: A woman was killed when a lift in a private hospital developed a fault and fell in Shamsabad, situated in A Section police limits, on Sunday evening. A woman, Rehana, whose husband Gulzar used to work at a private hospital, had gone to the hospital for some work. When Rehana stepped into the elevator on the second floor and it began its descent, the elevator developed a fault and plummeted down to the ground floor. She sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot. The hospital management closed the doors of the hospital to stop media persons from covering the incident.
