Green Line project: 118 heritage sites to be renovated

Farooqui said that all mass transit projects are aimed at providing improved travelling facilities to the public

KARACHI: As many as 118 heritage sites and buildings situated on the route of Green Line BRT will be renovated before the project completion.

A presentation regarding renovation and improvement of heritage buildings situated on the route of Green Line was held at Governor House on Thursday. The meeting was presided over by principal secretary to Sindh governor, Muhammad Suleh Ahmed Farooqui, and attended by a World Bank representative.

Farooqui said that all mass transit projects are aimed at providing improved travelling facilities to the public and the Green Line is an integral part.

Civil society’s group, Alliance for Civic Transformation, is contributing to make these heritage buildings more beautiful, he said.
