Kismat Baig Murder: Suspect sent to jail on 14-day remand

LAHORE: A judicial magistrate sent the prime suspect in the murder of stage actor Kismat Baig to jail on Tuesday on a 14-day judicial remand. Harbanspura police brought Rana Muzammil before the judicial magistrate, Shaukat Ranjha, after the expiry of his four-day physical remand. The police told the court it had completed interrogation from the accused and no further physical remand was needed. The court sent the suspect to jail on a 14-day judicial remand. Kismat was shot dead in November by unidentified suspects when she was on her way home in a car.
