12th Rabiul Awwal Security : 23,338 policemen to be deployed

A survey of all the buildings in the areas from which the procession will pass has been completed

KARACHI: Police finalised on Friday the security arrangements related to Rabiul Awwal 12 processions in Karachi. As many as 4,860 policemen will provide security to the central procession and more than 47,215 policemen will perform overall security duty in the entire province including 23,338 in Karachi.

According to a press release, 2,000 police personnel of the Rapid Response Force will also perform security duties. As per the police plan, 71 police vans, 58 motorcycle squads and seven armoured personnel carriers will also be deployed to secure the central procession.

A survey of all the buildings in the areas from which the procession will pass has been completed.
