RAJANPUR: Police in Punjab on Tuesday launched a ‘grand’ operation against wanted criminals in southern Punjab.
A team led by District Police Officer (DPO) Rajanpur, Sohail Zafar Chattha is carrying out operations in Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rahim Yar Khan.
Several bandits have moved out and are reported to be seeking refuge in other areas. There are also reports of skirmishes between the police and criminals in different areas.
Armoured Personnel Carriers, rocket launchers and other heavy weapons are being used in the operation.
