Zakaria says presence of Indian troops' at large scale is a hurdle in implementation of UN resolution

Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria on Wednesday claimed India has deployed over one million troops in occupied Kashmir, Radio Pakistan reported.

"Despite Pakistan's concerns, India has deployed more than one million troops in occupied Kashmir which is the highest concentration of troops in the world," Zakaria said.



Claiming that the presence of Indian troops at a large scale is a hurdle in implementation of the United Nations (UN) resolution, the FO spokesperson said Indian troops have been killing innocent people and violating basic human rights in IOK for the past four months.

Further, urging India to put an end to the bloodshed in IOK immediately, Zakaria demanded the UN to play its role for peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue.



He reiterated that Pakistan believes in peaceful resolution of every outstanding issue with India. Zakaria also condemned India's ill intentions to sabotage the Indus Waters Treaty.
