Edible items: District administration issues new price list

The new approved rates would come into effect immediately

BAHAWALPUR: To ensure availability of quality food to consumers at affordable prices, the Bahawalpur district price control committee has issued a new price list.

The new approved rates would come into effect immediately. This decision was taken at a meeting of the committee held at the DCO Office on Saturday.

According to the new approved rates in the district Bahawalpur, Kachi Basmati rice will be sold for Rs90 per kg, moong pulse Rs105 per kg, masoor pulse Rs116 per kg, white gram Rs150 per kg, gram flour Rs150 per kg, red chilli powder Rs190 per kg, sooji and maida Rs42 per kg, beef Rs250 per kg and mutton Rs500 per kg.

DCO Amjad Bashir directed the price control magistrates to keep a close eye on implementing the price rates of food items and initiate stringent action against the violators.
