Federal Areas, Balochistan stage comeback in Pentangular Cup.

KARACHI: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) laboured to 87 for four on the second day of their Pentangular Cup match against Balochistan.

K-P lost three quick wickets before a 63-run partnership between Adnan Raees (51*) and Aftab Alam (24) stablilised the innings. Nazar Hussain (two for 25) was the pick of the Balochistan bowlers on the day. Earlier, Balochistan resumed their innings on 116 for four and were all out for 279. Sohaib Maqsood top-scored with 87, hitting 13 boundaries in the process as Yasir Shah kept them in-check by picking up four wickets.

Federal Areas post recovery against Punjab

Federal Areas fought back well on the second day against Punjab, reaching 315 for six at close.

Resuming at 64 for three, the visitors staged a recovery thanks to Umair Khan’s 133 which was laced with 18 boundaries. Punjab bowlers struggled to make an impact with just Asad Ali and Hasan Mahmood picking up a wicket each yesterday.
