HYDERABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) - London Rabita Committee member Momin Khan Momin and four other supporters were remanded into jail custody for 19 days.

The suspects were produced before the Anti-Terrorism Court on Friday, which slated the hearing for the bail plea on December 3 and that of the case on December 14.

Advocate Shakeel Zai, who represented the suspects, submitted the bail plea during the hearing. Momin, Intikhab Alam Qureshi, Raheel Alam Qureshi, Tasleem Alam Qureshi and Imran Ghori were arrested on October 23.

The Hali Road police charged them on October 24 over possessing explosive material and weapons after they managed to get bail in another FIR registered at the same police station on October 22. Amir Iqbal, Zafar Rajput and former MQM Hyderabad zone in-charge Sharif Khan are absconders in the case. The earlier FIR contained Sections 123-A and 120-B of the Pakistan Penal Code, accusing Momin, Rajput and 10 others of shouting anti-Pakistan slogans at a party meeting at a sector office in Hali road area.
