Nursing conference: First moot on allied health sciences begins

LAHORE: The first international conference on allied health sciences, nursing and pharmacy started at the University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Thursday with 18 workshops arranged at various institutions.

The three-day conference on the theme of ‘Bridging the Gap in Healthcare: Improving Patient Care Outcomes’ will be formally inaugurated today (on Friday) by the Chief Minister’s Adviser on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique.

The programme of the conference has been divided into seven sessions, including keynote addresses, paper presentations, workshops and poster presentations.

The workshops organised on Thursday were on diverse topics related to allied health sciences, nursing and pharmacy.

The workshops were conducted at Fatima Memorial College of Medicine and Dentistry Lahore, Kinnaird College Lahore and University of South Asia Lahore among other institutions.
