Chehlum timings: Police book procession organisers 

A case was also registered against 150 unidentified individuals

RAWALPINDI: Banni police booked organisers of a Chehlum procession for conducting the event later than scheduled and endangering the lives of people. According to contents of the FIR, Sub Inspector Muhammad Yaqoob told Banni police that he and other police officials were on security duty outside Imambargah Qadimi on the night of November 21. He added a mourning procession, according to the security plan, was to start from Imambargah Shah Chan Chiragh and culminate at Imambargah Qadimi at about 8pm. The complaint noted that Malik Hussain and around 150 other mourners took out a procession from Imambargha Qadimi without permission and it continued till 11:30pm. They blocked the road for traffic, endangered their own lives and those of the public at large. The police booked 13 people with wrongful confinement, unlawful assembly and disturbance of law and order. A case was also registered against 150 unidentified individuals.
