Green campus: Plantation drive kicks off

PESHAWAR: The 2011 plantation drive in University Campus Peshawar was started with the plantation of a “marwa” sapling on Friday. The Vice-Chancellor (VC) of University of Engineering and Technology, Imtiaz Hussain Gilani, planted the sapling in the Institute of Mechatronics Engineering and Hayatabad.

He was accompanied by the Dean Faculty of Engineering, Dr Azamul Asar, Registrar, Professor Abdul Jabbar, Director Institute of Mechatronics Engineering, Dr Riaz Akbar Shah, and senior members of the faculty, who also planted saplings.
