Offering comfort: PM condoles with Badar’s family

The PPP veteran passed away last week at the age of 72

LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited the residence of deceased Pakistan Peoples Party leader Jahangir Badar on Saturday to offer condolences to the bereaved family. The PPP veteran passed away last week at the age of 72. Accompanied by his son Hussain Nawaz, the prime minister was received by Badar’s son Ali Badar on his arrival at their residence. During interaction with the bereaved family, the PM offered Fateha and prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul. Talking to reporters, the premier remained confined to condolences for the bereaved family. Nawaz said besides being a good politician, Badar was a gentle human being who used to converse respectably even with the political opponents. “Now he has gone to his eternal abode but I have very good memories of him. He was a true and straightforward [gentleman]. I love such people,” he said. Nawaz said though Badar has departed but his association with his family would continue.
