Shahrukh Khan has been making headlines for quite some time now courtesy his on-screen pairing with much-younger female co-stars.

SRK will be seen playing mentor to Alia Bhatt in the upcoming Dear Zindagi. The film has been the talk of the town due to the age gap between the two.

When asked about romancing a female actor of Alia's age, the superstar said that he had no qualms about being paired with any female actor two decades younger than him, MidDay reported.

SRK referred to the age difference between US President elect Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump while addressing the issue. “Most of the women I romance are two decades younger than me. Now I can't be romancing a five-year-old! I think we have this taboo about age. Look at Donald Trump's wife! If the story overcomes that gap without harping on it much, that's a win," he said.

He revealed that his upcoming film was a different kind of love story.

"Dear Zindagi too is a love story. Only it's not the typical one between a man and a woman. People could come up to me and ask kaise lagoge saath mein. Arey, jaise hai waise hi lagengey! Inshallah, when you watch the film, the age factor wouldn't play on your mind at all," he said.

Bhatt will be playing the role of Kaira, a budding cinematographer, who is in search of the perfect life but some unforeseen circumstances change her life. While SRK is playing the role of a mentor to her.
