Against Musharraf: Govt again seeks time to re-appeal

LHC expresses annoyance over govt’s failure to reply to a writ petition against Musharraf.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Thursday expressed annoyance over government’s failure to reply to a writ petition seeking the registration of a treason case against former president Pervez Musharraf and gave it one more chance to respond.

A deputy attorney general asked the court for a continuance as more time was needed to file the response. The government was given 10 more days to do so. Advocate Rana Ilmuddin Ghazi, the petitioner, has accused Musharraf of various constitutional violations, including dissolving an elected parliament and sacking judges. He also made various accusations against Musharraf concerning the Lal Masjid operation in 2007, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan’s illegal nuclear technology sales, the assassinations of Bhutto and Baloch tribal chief Akbar khan Bugti and the “kidnapping” of Dr Aafia Siddiqui. He asked the court to direct the federal govt to lodge a case against Musharraf under Article 6 of the Constitution and issue directions for his extradition and red warrants against him.

Hamid Siddiqui | 13 years ago | Reply The allegations in the petition against Mr.Pervaiz Musharraf are in fact all the actions taken by him, keeping Pakistan's interest on priority. And every Pakistani loved it, this should have been continued, it was a real operation Pakistan clean up. Musharraf should be nominated for a reward for this clean up and should be nominated as President of Paksintan once again to continue his operation, till every traitor is terminated from Pakistani soil. The announcement of Mr.Musharraf, that he will come to Pakistan before elections has created panic in the group all illiterate, self proclaimed politicians, they know that he will not spare any one trying to harm Pakistan, Politically, Financially, Morally, Socially or in any other way.

Lal Masjid was done by federal Govt and Rangers to liability goes to Prime meinister not on President :P 3. AQ khan's selling of Nuclear technology was admitted by libya on international horizon. 4. Akbar bugti was killed by army - will you file case against Zardari bcoz army did operation in Swat and killed many terrorists??? 5. Kidnapping of Afia - wow it needs to be proved... her ex-husband told in interview that she went to Afghanistan by crossing the border illegally so she is not picked from Pak. Pls file a case Against Nawaz Sharif who handed over Aimel Kansi to USA for killing four american in Pakistan :P
