During the meetings, the minister is scheduled to discuss matters concerning Pakistan-Britain bilateral relations, regional security, immigration and other issues.

Progress is likely to be made on the reference filed by the Pakistan government against MQM founder Altaf Hussain. Moreover, investigation into Dr Imran Farooq murder case is also likely to figure in the discussions. At the end of the official visit, Chaudhry Nisar would be admitted to a hospital for treatment of hernia and eyes. His stay in England is likely to be extended by 10 more days on account of the two surgeries.

Recently, he visited Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a check-up after encountering some medical issues. Doctors at PIMS diagnosed him to be suffering from hernia and advised him to operate it as soon as possible. The minister deferred the surgical procedure because of domestic political turmoil.
