PM announces compensation for Shah Noorani blast victims

At least 53 people have been killed in an IS-claimed suicide blast at the shrine in Khuzdar, Balochistan

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has announced a compensation amount of Rs500,000 for the families of those who were killed in Saturday's attack at Shah Noorani shrine in Balochistan.

At least 53 people were killed in an IS-claimed suicide blast at the shrine located in Khuzdar district. The suicide bomber exploded when faithfuls were performing dhamaal – a trance-like dance.

According to a statement, the prime minister also announced Rs200,000 for the severely injured.





Families ripped apart in Khuzdar shrine attack

The PM has directed Musaddiq Malik and Miftah Ismail to personally visit the Civil Hospital, Karachi and deliver the amount to the victims, the statement added.
