SPELT conference: Moot held on new teaching trends

RAWALPINDI: The two-day 32nd SPELT International Conference 2016, organised by Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in collaboration with Society of Pakistan English Language Teachers (SPELT) and Oxford University Press has concluded. The theme of the conference was Expanding English Language Teaching (ELT) Horizons which covered classroom practices, research in language teaching and learning and their relationship with each other. The main objectives of the conference were enhancing the quality of English teaching, assessment and evaluation, improving quality of teacher education and training, promoting learner autonomy, narrowing gap between teachers and researchers, providing a professional forum for sharing and networking, reviewing role of English in the changing world, keeping teachers and ELT practitioners abreast with the latest developments in ELT world.
